Army Of The Dead

In our list of what to watch on OTT platforms in May 2021, the next one is Army of the Dead. Even if you don’t know who Zack Snyder is, you definitely must have heard of him by now. DC fandom’s one true hero- Synder’s second release this year is Army of the Dead, a zombie heist action movie. Featuring an ensemble cast that includes Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Theo Rossi and Bollywood’s own Huma Qureshi, this is the movie you should watch for thrills and gore (expect plenty of Snyder’s signature slow-mo shots). Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.

Marvel has a full plate this year with releases almost every month- The Falcon and the Winter Soldier S1 just winded up this April. Next up is M.O.D.O.K.- an adult animated stop motion series which will most probably be available in India through Disney+ Hotstar. The series focuses on an iconic Marvel supervillain- Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing aka M.O.D.O.K. The trailer gave us a glimpse on how the series is vastly different from other Marvel features- with a huge focus on comedy and drama, along with lots of action. It will release on May 21st, 2021 and features Patton Oswalt as M.O.D.O.K. alongside Melissa Fumero, Jon Hamm, Nathan Fillion, and others.

Cinema Bandi

Raj and DK are well-known for their high-octane action films like Go, Goa, Gone or A Gentleman and the brilliant web series Family Man. So, it comes as a surprise when they decide to produce a movie that looks like it has little to no action in it. Cinema Bandi is a Telugu-language comedy drama film written and directed by debutant Praveen Kandregula. The plot revolves around a group of young adults who live in rural Andhra Pradesh- they find a camera and decide to make a movie with it. From the looks of the trailer, this movie can be described as a heartwarming tale about cinema and the people who decide to create them. The movie will be available on Netflix, releasing on 14th May, 2021.

Lucifer S5 part-2

The ever-charming Lucifer Morningstar returns from hell…. to Netflix. Earning rave reviews from critics, Season 5 (Part 2) of the comedy-drama fantasy releases on 28th May 2021. Also, if you are one of those people who watch the show just for Tom Ellis and his British accent- then season 5 will be a treat for you since he will be appearing in a double role.
