Upcoming stuff you should watch on different OTT platforms in March 2021

One year of the pandemic, and we survived! The lockdown got you introduced to many things. One of those are the many streaming services and an ocean of shows and movies that you wait every day to watch after shutting down the laptop. Well, it’s important to get to know the right stuff to watch otherwise it seems like a total waste of time and energy because every show needs so much of your mental investment.

Let’s look at some of the recent and upcoming stuff you should watch on different OTT platforms while you wait for your vaccination turn-

Wandavision

Right on the top of the list is WandaVision. Made in the style of a 60s or 70s TV show (at least the first three episodes), it shows Wanda Maximoff and her husband Vision living a quiet suburban life. It literally is a show within a show. The show takes time to grow on to you but every episode leaves you perplexed at the end and will keep you on the edge of your seat, constantly guessing what really is happening inside this virtual world ‘hex’ created by Wanda

You can catch the mini series on Disney Hotstar- https://www.hotstar.com/in/tv/wandavision/1260051344

Behind Her Eyes

This British psychological drama is a must-watch and should be on your list of shows to watch this month, although it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Based on Sarah Pinborough’s thriller book Behind Her Eyes that was published in 2017, this is a story of Louise, a single mother who unwittingly meets a potential date in a bar, only to discover that he is her new boss, David. And Louise happens to meet another lady called Adele who she finds out is David’s wife. As Louise gets to know both of them, she gets embroiled in something that she’d never expected.

Sound of Metal

We never really have a plan if we get physically disabled. Especially, when the disability concerns the body part on which your life depends. Sound of Metal is a film about a hard rock drummer(played by Riz Ahmed) who is trying to come to terms with his loss of hearing ability. It’s an uncomfortable film to watch but it’s an important one to watch to understand how people who go deaf feel. It also gives a lesson about how disability should not be stigmatized and one can always find a way, and should find a way!

Cold Courage

What to Watch on OTT Platforms in March 2021

Cold Courage is about Lia, a broke Finnish immigrant to England who works as a graphic designer for New Level, a left-wing British publication. For extra income, Lia designs leaflets for a far-right politician. Lia draws herself into ‘The Studio’ that works for the unprivileged people and is run by a Finnish born Mira. There are a lot of flashbacks involving Lia, her best friend Nina, and Mira’s life in Finland. Cold Courage is an effective political thriller where two Finnish women take things in hand to fight against a right-winger.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

What to Watch on OTT Platforms in March 2021

The show is not out yet, but it’s scheduled to premiere on March 19th, 2021. The events of the series take place after the film Avengers: Endgame (2019). As apparent from the teaser, it’s a show that will give us a peek into the lives of Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson who don’t seem thrilled to be teaming together. And it looks like that it doesn’t have Steve Rogers as Captain America in it given that he decided to retire. We will only get to know more in a few weeks.

You can catch the show on Disney Hotstar. Watch the teaser here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWBsDaFWyTE
